About four years ago, I met a woman selling her plants because she was moving abroad. Those plants had been gifted to her by a close relative, and it was clear they meant a lot to her. She wasn’t just selling plants she was letting go of memories.
She told me she just wanted someone who would care for them. When I brought them home, my space instantly felt more alive, and that stayed with me.
Over time, I started noticing how many healthy plants were being thrown away just because they didn’t look perfect anymore. So I began rescuing them and giving them care and a second chance.
Later, I connected with a plant staging company that replaced plants in offices and hotels for appearance reasons, even when they were still healthy. Instead of discarding them, they started passing them on to me.
When I shared these plants at markets and pop-ups, people loved them. They kept coming back not just for the plants, but for how they made them feel.
That’s when I realized this was bigger than just plants. It was about giving life a second chance and sharing something still full of value.
